THE MILKY WAY FORM                                                  version 26 januari 2010

From Workshop:  As Above, So Below.

                       Joshua Tree, September 2009.

 

Music:              Sound Vibrations from Outer and Inner Space. (Sun, meteorites, and our heartbeat, internal organs.)

 

Intent:             This pass aligns our right body with our left body. We make a connection with the stars. (In which we can see our ancestors, and possible positions of the assemblage point.)

 

Notes:             This pass is consecutively performed in all four directions. 

                      The movements are to be performed slowly. Let the right body listen to the left body. The slow speed of the passes is more in pace with the left body. For the left and rigth body to act together a state of 'deep listening' of the right body is required.

Preparation:

-Shift your weight on the ankles with inner seer focused on the ankles. To side, front, etc.

-Rotate left foot inward, then right

-Rotate left leg inward, then upward to stomach. Same on left side.

-Rotate left ankle outward, then right.

-Rotate left leg outward, then right

-Open left leg to the side, wide motion opening the hip, then right.

 

LEFT BODY

FACING FRONT (1.)

 

-Place right hand on left hand, on right vital center. Wait for silence.

 

-Retract the left hand (as a knife from its sheath), and make a cutting movement tracing outer edge of body with the outer edge of the left hand. First trace on the right side towards the top of head, then tracing further down the the side of the left hip.

 

-Make a diagonal cut, from left hip to right shoulder and back down to the left hip.

 

-Swing left hand around over the head (starting at left hip, swing to right shoulder, then over the head), and slash with the outer edge of the left hand (with palm up) at the left side of the body at resp. shoulder level, chest level, and waist level.

(As in Recapitulation Series #13: "Forging the trunk of the energy body.")

 

-Step forward with right foot. Step parallel with left foot, and push forward with left horizontal forearm at the level of the right hip (palm down), and right vertical palm behind left hand (as if supporting the push of the left hand). Bend trunk forward (opening shoulderblades). Hold position for a moment.

(Like Masculinity #14: "Pushing clasped energy with the elbow and forearm", but wih open hands and not touching.)

 

FULL CIRCLE (C.C.W.) (2.-5.)

 

-Turn around in a full counter-clockwise circle, while making an outward pushing breath in all four directions (as if opening sliding doors with your hands to receive the directions) (facing resp. left, back, right, and front), and make contact with each direction.

-Each direction start by bending slightly over, cross arms in front of chest while inhaling, then straighten up and stretch arms sideways as far as possible (opening chest), palms facing out (exhale). Then turn a quarter to left while bending slightly over and inhaling.

-Repeat this breath for times (for each direction) until back in orginal direction.

(Movement like Heat Series #37: "The Lateral Breath.", but only half of the pass, and pushing out while exhaling.)

 

Now FACING LEFT (6.)

 

-Pivot right heel out, turn body 90* to the left, and step all the way back with left foot (now facing left from original position).

-Put weight on left foot (cat stance) and make an offering with the left hand. (Swing left arm back in a half vertical circle, then hold up the left palm in front of the body, at level navel.)

(Heat Series #32: Offering the Breath.")

-The hand and foot motion form one fluid combined motion.

 

-Step back with right foot, and make a cutting movement with the right hand from right shoulder down to the right hip. (Look at the hand.)

 

-Step forward with right foot, make a diagonal cut with the edge of the right hand from right shoulder to in front of the left hip.

 

-Step forward with left foot, make a diagonal cut from left shoulder area to the right vital center area.

(As Heat Series/Predilection of the Right Body #14-17.) (Like a figure "X".)

 

-Now left foot is in front. The hips turn to the right while the feet keep more or less the same position.

-Then while turning the hips back to the front the left hand Sweeps horizontally from right to left, as if clearing the space on the right side, at level lower disk (clearing energy).

-While the left hand is finishing the sweep, make small offering with right hand. (Bring right palm horizontally i/f/o body.)

 

FACING RIGHT (7.)

 

-Turn body around 180* by swiveling on your feet towards the right. Afterwards the right foot is in front, left is in back.

-At the same time taking/sliding the right hand with you overhead, and slicing it down in the new direction towards waist level, ending up with right hand (palm flat, vertically and facing left) i/f/o the center of the body.

 

-Retrieve right foot and advance in two steps sideways to the right -while striking twice with the right hand in a hammerfist, towards the right with left open palm behind it, at level of the head.

 

FACING BACK (8.)

 

-Turn 90* to the right now completely facing opposite from starting direction, with two feet standing side by side.

-Trace the head of the energy body twice with the right hand. (From left to right, and back.)

 

FACING RIGHT (9.)

 

-Turn 90* to the left by swiveling on feet, now left foot in front, right is in back.

 

-At the same time, Sweep with left hand horizontally in front of the body from right hip to left, at level lower disk level (clearing the space)

-While left finishes movement, stab forward with the right stretched flat hand (the arm is twisted so that palm faces right).

(As in Intent Series: #27: "Transporting front energy to the adrenals.")

 

-Then swift weight back on right foot (in catstance), turn right head over body, and make an offering with the right open flat hand (palm facing upwards).

(Heat Series #32: Offering the Breath.")

 

 

BOTH BODIES

FACING FRONT (10.), original direction.

 

-Turn 90* to the left, by stepping with right foot forward and parallel to right foot, in one motion facing original direction.

 

-While turning, cup both hands above the head, with wrists touching (inhale)

(As in Heat Series #30: "Smashing energy with the wrists.")

-Move hands down to between the knees along a vertical line, so cupped hands point to earth. (Intending As Above, so Below.") 

(Like in Video 1: #7 The Axis Breath.)

-Come up and bring both hands next to the left hip, then next to the right hip, all the while with wrists still touching.

(Like Heat Series #30: "Smashing energy with the wrists.")

 

-Then a series of three horizontal slashes at shoulder level with both hands, palms touching:

(Like Masculinity #22: "Slashing energy with a swordlike cut.", but with touching palms i/s/o clasped hands.)

 

Step forward with right foot. Slash from left to right. (Right palm on top.)

Step forward with left foot. Slash from right to left. (Left palm on top.)

Step paralel with right foot. Slash from left to right. (Right palm on top.)

 

Then two composed slashing movements, with a half-turn of the body:

 

FACING FRONT, THEN BACK (11.)

 

Pivot left toes out. Slash from right to left (left palm on top). Then continue moving both palms in a circle above the head, while stepping all the way forward with right foot, and turning the body 180* to the left, and continue with another slash from right to left.

(So ending up feet paralel, facing back, palms i/f/o left shoulder.)

 

FACING BACK, THEN FRONT (12.)

 

Turn right toes out. Slash from left to right (right palm on top). Then continue moving both palms in a circle above the head, while stepping all the way forward with left foot, and turning the body 180* to the right, and continue with another slash from left to right.

(So ending up feet paralel, facing front, palms i/f/o right shoulder.)

 

Retreat by stepping back with first left foot, then parallel with right foot.

 

Place left hand on right hand, on left vital center, with left hand on top of right hand.
